Hi Davey2010,
:::Hi Davey2010,

Is there a reason for why we can't use the "&"? I haven't edited real version of wikipedia much at all outside of the brief edits to Mercy's page. But I have spent a fair bit of time on various third party mediawiki sites and built a few internal knowledge bases with mediawiki. My understanding was that on certain versions of apache using an & in a page title would result in &amp displaying rather than the desired (&). I believe this is no longer an issues on versions 1.6.7 or greater. Not trying to break bust your balls here man, just I have to now go back and explain this to Sisters who may not understand the technical side of why we can't use something. If I'm going to do it, I'd rather give them too much information apposed to none at all. Thank you. [WburleyCTE (talk) 20:17, 18 July 2016 (UTC)]

::::Hi, The & part is per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Ampersand - We can use "&" ins titles but in 99% of all cases "and" is the always the preferred option, Sorry bud I don't make the guidelines/policies, Cheers, –<span style="color: blue;">Davey</span><span style="color: orange;">2010</span><span style="color: navy;">Talk</span> 20:32, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Mercy Career and Technical High School

Hi, Please stop with the requests - Consensus is to have the title as "Mercy Career and Technical High School" regardless of what your schools goes by, We have policies and guidelines which all need to be followed, So I'd strongly recommend you pack it in with the requests and move on,
Continuing the requests could see you blocked,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 19:04, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Davey2010 the old name of the school was "Mercy Vocational High School". While it is true this is still a High School this is no longer part of the name hence the request to drop the words "High School" from the title. Whether wikipedia can accommodate the "&" isn't that important so much as dropping the "High School" as it isn't listed on our letters, transcripts, report cards, or even the front of our building anymore. Hi WburleyCTE, Unfortunately it cant be just "Mercy Career and Technical" as it could be "Mercy Career and Technical" anything .... uni, college, secondary school, primary school etc etc so regardless of what the school calls ittself the school is still a High School if that makes sense,
All schools on this site have something "X Primiary School", "X University", "X High School" ... we don;t just have the name and that's it,
