Chad is an American sitcom created by Nasim Pedrad, who also stars in the title role, as a 14-year-old Persian boy who is in his first year of high school.[2]

Chad was originally sold to and ordered for a series by Fox in 2016 titled Chad: An American Boy with the original concept about a "14-year-old boy in the throes of adolescence who is tasked with being the man of the house", with the original pilot written by Pedrad and Rob Rosell,[3] but never went to production. In 2019, the show was picked up by TBS and ordered to a ten episode first season with the trailer being released on May 15, 2019, and the show premiered on April 6, 2021.[4][5]
