Polled Sheep Picture
Somebody added a pic of a polled sheep. It is nice, but I would like a picture without fancy cropping effects. Is there a version without the oval effect over it? Isoxyl 12:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Sheep breeders
I am removing the list of sheep breeders, because I don't think the Wikipedia should be an advertisement for various breeders, but not others. A Google search should find breeders for anyone interested. It just doesn't seem fair to those not listed, plus each interested breeder who comes along with a website seems to add their own to the list. Four is too many, and it would only be fair to remove them all. If you disagree, please give thoughts here, but otherwise list is removed for now. Isoxyl 18:14, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes - I am one of the offending breeders. However, we provide a bunch of information for free for those involved with this breed and other species. We also provide educational forums at different shows regarding this breed. So, to say that we only "sell" Icelandic Sheep is incorrect and I would like my listing reinstated. - Well, I certainly don't think the breeders are there just to sell, and I have no doubt that educational material is provided. Still, Wikipedia is not there to provide links to everyone's website either. I think it is okay to provide a link a specific sheep education page within your breeder website, however, if you are linking to a top-level page with commercial selling of lambs as well as educational links, it would probably violate Wikipedia policy. If there is such a page on your website, feel free to re-link. However, please give a descriptive title to the page, not just your breeder name. WP is not a service to get your name out there. I hope I am not coming across as anti-breeder in any way. I love Icelandics and the breeders are very important! But I just want to be fair to everyone. Linking to a billion breeders does no service, and neither does linking to only one. An education page I can agree is useful, but not a general breeder site. Isoxyl 13:19, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
