Alexey Morosov (Russian: Алексей Викторович Морозов) a sculptor and painter born 1974 in Bishkek (Frunze) USSR. Graduated V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute faculty of sculpture (studio of Leo Kerbell) 1999. Director of Moscow Academic Art College (MAXY) from 2013. Member of Russian Academy of Arts (RAA) Presidium from 2014.[1]

A monument to Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, founders of The Moscow Art Theatre unveiled in 2014 adjacent to the theatre bears an inscription in Latin from Checkov’s ‘The Seagull’.[8][9][10]
