Chris Dawes (born 16 May 1988) is an Australian Rules footballer currently playing for Collingwood Football Club in the AFL. Drafted with the 28th selection in the 2006 National Draft, Dawes is a strongly built forward in the Jonathan Brown mould, but will miss the majority of 2007 due to a knee injury suffered late in the 2006 TAC Cup U/18 season whilst playing for the Sandringham Dragons. He will wear the number 31 previously worn by John Anthony, who has shifted to number nine with the delisting of Julian Rowe.
