This article may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. See CSD G11.

Company of the Wolf
One of a growing number of metal weapons re-enactment groups in Australia. Unlike their SCA cousins, metal weapons groups attempt to present an "immersion" experience in historical re-enactment, with an aim of keeping modern and anachronistic materials and equipment to the barest minimum. As the name implies, this includes the use of "live" metal weapons for combat and demonstration purposes, as opposed to the ratan weapons used by groups like the SCA.
"Company of the Wolf represents a free Mercenary company from the High Middle ages. Company of the Wolf displays a timeline of the great warring periods of the middle ages, from the later Crusading period of 1250, through the Hundred Years War, to the end of the War of the Roses and Bosworth Field in 1485. As fits a collection of the finest hired blades in Europe, our ranks include members representative of the landless nobility, down to humble foot soldiers, and camp followers, drawn from across Western Europe." [1]
Company of the Wolf was founded in 2004 as an alternative organisation in the New England area of New South Wales Australia for people interested in medieaval history and re-enactment. Prior to the groups's inception, similar organisations had operated in the region, but limited themselves to dark age and ancient historical re-enactments. In late 2006 the group expanded to include a Brisbane, Queensland "Lance" or subgroup. The group is currently in the process of researching the accurate representation of mediaeval siege equipment operators, having obtained a traction trebuchet. The group hopes to include a demonstration of this piece of equipment in display operations from March of this year.
Company of the Wolf has appeared at a number of public festivals and events, and is dedicated to increasing the general understanding of the Australian Public through an accurate portrayal of the time period it represents.
