Mansfield Plantation

Established in 1718 on the banks of the Black River in historic Georgetown, South Carolina, MANSFIELD PLANTATION is widely recognized as one of the most well-preserved antebellum rice plantations in the United States. Spanning nearly 1,000 acres of pine forest, rice fields and cypress swamps, and bordered by the Black River, Mansfield plantation was once one of the largest rice producing plantations in the country. Mansfield, along with adjacent rice plantations up and down the Black River, provided much of Europe with it's "Carolina Gold" rice during the late 1700's and early 1800's. Rice growing was made possible by 1) perfecting irrigation techniques using tidal water and manmade dykes; 2) experimentation with natural fertilizers; 3) and most notably, African-American slave labor. After the American Civil War, rice production became too expensive and soon the plantations fell into bankruptcy and were sold off to new owners.

Today, Mansfield Plantation is preserved as an anthentic rice plantation, complete with the original plantation home, winnowing barn, school house, live oak avenue ("oak alley"), slave village, chapel, guest house and plantation grounds. The entire plantation is undergoing a privately-funded, massive restoration project to keep their distinct history alive for generations to come. The plantation is also home to a luxurious, award-winning bed & breakfast where guests can step back into time as they take in the history surrounding them.

Mansfield Plantation is also the only known plantation in the USA to be saved from development and reclaimed by a direct descendent of the original owners. Their efforts to preserve this slice of American history will be appreciated for generations to come.

The Piss Shivers

The Piss Shivers are an east coast based old school punk band in the vein of Ramones, Circle Jerks, Angry Samoans, etc. Originally started by Cedric Rokkgod demo-ing songs with a drum machine, an actual flesh and blood line up soon followed. The resulting band has been together in one form or another since 1993. Despite a revolving line, the Piss Shivers have managed to play and tour extensively and have also been featured of numerous radio and web radio programs. The Piss Shivers have shared the stage with such acts as: Snap-her, Anti-Flag, No Ones Hero, F.O.D., The Boils, The Roadhogs, Cranked Up, Violent Society, The Cuffs, Bomb Squadron, Plow United, 2.5 Children, Banner of Hope, The Prostitutes, Furious George, Blanks 77, No Ones Hero, The Casualties and more. The group has also release several recordings including the cds "Help, My Dog's A Skinhead" and Hepped Up On Goofballs" as well as appearing on many cd and vinyl compilations.

Cedric Rokkgod Trivia:

Front man Cedric has always plays a Gibson SG and has legally changed his name from Crouch to Rokkgod
Cedric is extremely tall, almost 6'4" if he doesn’t slouch.
Before starting the Piss Shivers, Cedric Rokkgod was ask to join the band “The Undead” which features ex- Misfits member Bobby Steele.
Cedric’s cousin Jim Ward is a member of the bands “Sparta” and “At The Drive-In”

Sowbre

Sowbre is part of the Pokemon franchise and appears as an relaxed sow with two blue crystals on it's forehead and chest. Although it bares simalarity to Spoink and Grumpig, it has no relations to Spoink, but with Grumpig it can breed either Spoink or Psyglet. Sowbre first appears in the Dark Islands games.

Appearance

Although Sowbre names states that it is a sombre sow pokemon, it can sometimes be rather grumpy when provoked. Sowbre's evolution, Majestaborr also has crystals except three as apossed to Sowbre's two. Sowbre sometimes emitts a purple glow from it's body when doing such moves as Psychic or Psybeam, only in the anime.

Biology

Strangely, Sowbre posseses the ability to hover and move about and is often called "Pig Buddha" as it's Japanese name Bubuddha. If a Sowbre and a Grumpig are left at the day care center, they will either breed a Spoink or Psyglet. The differance is to breed a Spoink, the Grumpig must have the Soy Bean item and vice-versa.

In the Pokemon video games

Sowbre is found at the Abandoned Farm, west of Iceyriddge Mountain in Pokemon Opal, Lapis Lazuli and Pokemon Jade Sowbre has better stats then it's pre-evolution and usually has learnt the moves Psychic, Psybeam, Elight & Telekenisis, and can be taught the usuall Psychic moves, except for Extrasensory.

In the Pokemon anime

Sowbre appears in the episode "Sow & Boar", along with it's evolution Majestaborr. Amy's Sowbre appears in episode 26 or "The Bacon Disaster", when she looses it in Opagi Ruins. Also, Jack battles a trainer with a Sowbre in Episode 35 or "Believing".
