This article desperately needs some curtains.
It's nice that you have those nice storm windows, but consider the advantages of a nice to-the-floor curtain set to bring the edge of the window down to match the carpet. do not remove this notice until you reconsider the design of the living room.

There is a beach somewhere in the north of Australia that is covered with bouncing stones. If you throw a stone onto other stones lying on that beach they bounce!

The Leyland Brothers TV series visited this beach in one of their episodes.
