James Freud (born Colin McGlinchey on June 29, 1959) is an Australian rock singer.
Beginning his music career in the late 1970s, Freud is best known as the lead singer of Australian rock group Models (from 1982-88). Having played with prominent Australian musicians such a John Justin, he later collapsed into a life of alcoholism.
In 1999, he performed the song "One Tony Lockett" at the Sydney Cricket Ground and in 2006 made a comeback appearance with Models singing "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" on The Footy Show.
On March 6, 2007, Freud made an appearance on the Network Ten show 9am talking about his alcoholism and the release of his new book, I Am the Voice Left from Rehab.
He is currently working as a music producer for the band of his two sons, Sonic Dogma and became sober during late 2004.
