Nepomuk is a town in the Czech Republic, in the region of Plzen. Population: 3,600 (2002).

The village of Pomuk is mentioned for the first time in 1144 when the new Cistercian monastery was built nearby. In 1384 Pomuk was merged with neighbouring Přesanice and renamed Nepomuk, which was granted town status in 1413.

Nepomuk is a home-town of Saint John of Nepomuk, who was born here in around 1340.
