The Interpreter is a 2005 drama/thriller film, directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Nicole Kidman, Sean Penn and Catherine Keener.
The film has a complex plot involving a United Nations interpreter, Silvia Broome (Nicole Kidman), who accidentally overhears two people planning to assassinate someone. Sean Penn plays her FBI protector, Tobin Keller.
