The Metyktira is a primitive Indian tribe resident in the Amazon rainforest. The tribe consists of 87 members. The tribe is located in a remote part of the Amazon rainforest, 2.000 kilometre north of Rio de Janeiro, in an area with few rivers.

Neither men nor women wear clothes. Men wear penis-protection. The women shave their heads.

The tribe was "discovered" when two tribesmen entered a Kayapo-tribe village in the Menkregnoti reservation.
