Up From the Catacombs - The Best of Jane's Addiction is a greatest hits album by Jane's Addiction. It was released on September 19 2006 and contains all previously released material with and no new tracks, both unreleased or live. The collection borrows from all of Jane's Addiction's albums from their eponymous live debut to Strays.
The lyric "up from the catacombs" is taken from the song Chip Away, released on the live debut album. A studio version of this song has never surfaced, and ironically, no version at all appears on this collection.
