Squaw Valley Writer's Conference Annual writer's conference held in August in Olympic Valley, California. Noted authors who have been associated with the conference over the years include Michael Chabon, Richard Ford, Amy Tan, Robert Clark Young, Robert Stone, Ayelet Waldman, Louis B. Jones and Jay Gummerman. Workshops are held in fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenwriting, medical writing, and the Art of the Wild.
