==Please change==
I just spent lots of time changing [[Scouting in Nottinghamshire]], and the bot took it all away because of a bad link. Can't you change it back without putting in the bad link because it has took me over 2 hours to update that page.
It has also deleted all of the other sections I edited and these were valid.
This was the revert: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Scouting_in_Nottinghamshire&diff=139415091&oldid=139414278]

If you're coming here due to a problem with Shadowbot, please write your message clearly and leave a link to Shadowbot's revert. I can't help you very well if you simply write "Shadowbot reverted me! Fix it!"
This talk page is automatically archived by Werdnabot. Any sections older than 3 days are automatically archived to User talk:Shadowbot/Aug2024. Sections without timestamps are not archived.

I don't really know the right place to write this message sorry!

Anyways, I thought it was ok to add links in discussion. Furthermore I wish we could add links in the regular pages, I have loved some of the sites and forums that I've found through wikipedia.

<nowiki>

It seems that the bot doesn't detect when a link isn't actually a link when it's enclosed in <nowiki>. Moreover, it isn't able to detect stylistic changes to already existing URLs, e.g. when I removed the "www." from the text. [1]

My apologies. The bot was doing its job by removing an imageshack link. Shadow1 (talk) 11:56, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Chandra Wilson interview.

Hi, I asked a couple of questions last week. I was wondering if you had any answers for me. Below is the original text. Thanks!

The creation of the category 'Mortal Status', under Jack Bauer

The bot automatically deleted my small subarticle because of a link to another website, facebook.com. I understand the bot is an automatic processer, however I do implore you to manually read the article and decide for yourself whether or not the link is necessary. Personnally, I think the link is the very essence of the article, as it shows the page where the religion of Bauerism was created. Please do contact me with your answer, which ever way you see it. Thank you.

in albanian transportation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transportation_in_Albania, the bot deleted all my comments. i dont understand why. I was fixing everything to be more accurate of the time.

The Used Edits

Okay that's fair enough, I didn't realise! Someone has deleted the Australian chart info as well, despite the fact it can clearly be seen on the offcial website which was linked. I've added it back on but I would appreciate if you would doube check and make sure I did it okay, maybe I am missing something.

Your Bot is out of order

Hey Dude: the one with the Bot thats running around amok. Pull over and step outta the car. You reverted valid information and didn't leave a message on the talk page why. Thats wanton negligence, buddy. [2]Richiar 15:32, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That edit was reverted because it included a link to example.com. This was explained in ShadowBot's edit comment when it reverted. --Versageek 15:51, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

example.org

Hey! example.org should be encouraged per RFC 2606, not banned! How else am I supposed to put in a code example that is a real link but not a fake link? Shadowbot nuked perfectly good contributions to the XHTML Basic page at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:71.135.174.255&redirect=no . --BryceN 21:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your messages. I'm not trying to post spam links to the Jane Asher wiki-project. I just edited the links section and I tryed to add 2 links (posted at discussion page too), but then I noticed they where wrong, and I wanted to change them, but I couldn't. Then I added them again, and worked, but then dissapeared from the wiki page. That's all, sorry for the inconvenients that caused you, it wasn't my intention, really. I apologize. But please, give a chance to both links, they are good!

Your edit included both a link to piczo.com and groups.yahoo.com. Both these links do not comply with our guideline on external links (and may also violate the policy on what wikipedia is not). That is why they are on the revert list of shadowbot. Hope this explains. --Dirk Beetstra T C 15:53, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you reverted this article for some reason. I've tagged this with a COI2 tag and reported a possible conflict of interest at the notice board here: Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard. Bearian 23:10, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
