Diuresis is the production of an unusually large amount of urine by the kidney. It may be caused by an excess in some diuretic substance, or by an illness, or even by a large intake of fluid.
This condition can possibly be linked to caffeine (see caffeinism) or alcoholic beverages, which are known diuretics.
