Biography
Josh T. Pearson is a musician from Denton, Texas who currently lives in Berlin. In 1996 he formed the short-lived but now critically acclaimed band Lift To Experience, who released one album, 2001's The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, before splitting up soon after.

Signed to Bella Union Records, Pearson is currently pursuing a solo career, which so far has consisted of a number of tours, both headlining and supporting bands such as 65 Days Of Static. Pearson no longer plays any Lift To Experience songs live. It is unknown whether he will in the future, or indeed if he will ever revive the project.

It is currently unknown when Pearson will release a solo album, and indeed in some interviews he has even suggested that the songs he is currently singing live will not be properly recorded, as Pearson is aware of the pressure to repeat the success of The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads. Rumours have suggested that if he were to enter the studio that, as well as a self-penned record, a covers album based around the theme of solitude and loneliness might also be recorded. In the meantime Pearson has been selling a variety of self-produced live recordings at recent gigs, including a DVD recorded in Paris.

The only solo studio-recorded song to be released so far is a cover of Hank Williams' I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, which was released as one half of a split 7" single also featuring The Dirty Three. Pearson notably performed in 2007 at the Dirty Three curated All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
