Etox is the first sports automobile manufacturer based in Turkey.
History
The idea of Etox first started when the CEO of a small car decoration company, Ercan Malkoc, started visiting international car exhibits. Comparing these car exhibits to the ones in Turkey, Malkoc realized that in Turkish car exhibits the luxurios sports cars are not allowed to be examined by regular people except celebrities and wealthy elites. An idea of a sport car for people inspired Malkoc to make a prototype of the Etox.
Prototype
Designing Etox, took 6 months after testing and surveying about hundred other prototypes.
Mass Production
The license for mass production of Etox has been granted by the Turkish Government. Etox is almost 100% manufactured and assembled in Turkey. Only the motor is imported from a French auto manufacturer company. Etox is planning to create its own motor in the near future.
Public Appearance
First public appearance is expected on the August of 30th, the Freedom Day of Turkey. The company still keeps many technical specifications of this car secret in order to create a buzz marketing.
