Bonita Vista High School (BVH) in Chula Vista, California, was a four-year middle school founded in 1966, until it was converted to a three-year high school in 1968 when Bonita Vista Middle School opened. It is now a four-year high school. Bonita Vista High School is one of the few schools that has both the IB and AP programs. It is part of the Sweetwater Union High School District, and currently has about 2,800 students. Although their rival school is currently Eastlake High School, the principal of EHS has considered changing their rival to Otay Ranch High School because Bonita's league may be changed in the near future.
