Sybil Connolly (b. 24 January 1921, Wales - d. 1998, Dublin) was a British and Irish fashion designer.
Her father was Irish, from Waterford, and her mother was Welsh. Her father died when she was in her teens and she moved to County Waterford. Her interest in fashion led her to London aged 17 to study dressmaking with Bradley & Co, who had among their clients members of the British Royal family [citation needed].
She returned to Ireland at the outbreak of World War II and lived there for the rest of her life, making her home at # 71 Merrion Square, Dublin, where she died in 1998.
