My Friends Tigger & Pooh is a computer-animated television series, based on the books by A. A. Milne. The television series features Winnie-the-Pooh and other classic characters, along with Lumpy the Heffalump and two new characters: a 6-year-old red-haired girl named Darby and her dog Buster. The character of Darby was named after first season producer Jeff Kline's daughter. Contrary to published reports, Darby has not replaced Christopher Robin, who still appears intermittently in the series. He is voiced by newcomer Struan Erlenborn. The series' full-length film, Pooh's Super Sleuth Christmas Movie, will be released on DVD on November 20, 2007.
Developed by Walt Disney Television Animation, the show premiered on The Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney block on May 12, 2007. The show's theme song was written by Jellyfish lead singer Andy Sturmer and is sung by former Letters To Cleo singer and co-songwriter Kay Hanley.
