Re: removal of the Controversies section for SSU

Don't know how you got my name but I removed the section on controversies because it displays bias against certain parties and fails to present a neutral examination of the facts behind the events. If you can rewrite the section as well as your section on the campus bookstore using more impartial language I would be eager to include it in the article. The way I see it the more people we have working on this page the better, but it would help if we were all on the same page.

Are you a student at SSU? If not what made you interested in this article?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Superdk17 (talkcontribs)

Suggestion

I am a bit confused on the paragraph you added to the Associated students subsection saying: "Associated Students, Inc. held a protest in March 2006 when the Academic Senate refused to let them vote on issues that directly affect their education. Although all 22 other California State University campuses have students voting on some of their respective faculty senates or committees, Sonoma State faculty continue to disallow them an official voice.

What are the issues that directly affected our education? This is ambiguous and therefore not verifiable. If you could clarify what these issues are as well as explain the event in greater detail that would be great. If you cannot clarify and elaborate on the events then I believe we should question whether or not it belongs in the article.

Also, since you seem intent on including something about the bookstore I will do some needed research and try to re-write your newly added section in a non-biased manner. let me know if my work is unacceptable.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Superdk17 (talkcontribs)

  • TRY IMPROVING THE PARAGRAPHS INSTEAD OF REMOVING THEM ALTOGETHER! The Academic Senate refuses to let students vote on ANY issue. That is not ambiguous or unverifiable. The word ANY clarifies it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.102.25.82 (talkcontribs)

Edit Summary Request

I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini hablame aqui 13:03, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
