Fionn Regan (pronounced FYUHN REE-guhn) is a singer-songwriter from Bray, Ireland. He is currently based in Brighton, England.[1]
Following the limited release of the Hotel and Reservior EPs on Anvil Records [2], Regan signed to former Cocteau Twin Simon Raymonde's independent record label Bella Union. Regan was signed by Lost Highway and his debut album, The End of History, was released in the US on July 10th, 2007.
The End of History was produced by Regan himself (mixing the album with one-time Cocteau Twins member Simon Raymonde). He drifted from town to town over several years, working odd jobs and touring relentlessly; this gradually gathered him a sizable following among both fans and the British press, and when the album was released in the UK in 2006, it was met with widespread praise. Regan played at Glastonbury Festival 2007, at the 2007 XPoNential Music Festival in Camden, New Jersey (hosted by WXPN), and will also be appearing at Electric Picnic.
On the 18th July 2007 Fionn was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, 2007.
