Bob grew up in Sydney's South-Eastern suburbs. His family (father Frank and mother Ivy and sister (???)) lived in a number of houses in Malabar and Little Bay amongst other places. Bob went to Our Lady of Annunication Primary School, Pagewood (actually lcoated at Maroubra) and then Marist Brothers Daceyville. In 1969 at the school concert to celebrate leaving primary school, Bob played for one hour and kept the school entranced.

In 1970 he moved to Marist Brothers College, Pagewood (again actually at Maroubra). While here he joined a band and ended up spending most of his high school playing in "Finch". In 1975 Bob did his Higher School Certificate, getting a very good pass after cramming and being coached by a lot of his fellow pupils.

Bob replaced Red Symons in "Skyhooks" and in 1983 joined [[The Angels (Australian band)|The Angels]].

Today he lives in Melbourne and plays the guitar.

Bob Spencer (born 1957) played guitar in the 1970s Australian rock band "Skyhooks" and later the 1980s Australian rock band The Angels.
