The grade of Cadet Master Sergeant (abbreviated C/MSgt) is the seventh enlisted grade of the Civil Air Patrol cadet program. The grade is synonymous with the Charles A. Lindbergh Achievement Award. After this promotion a cadet may e appointed Cadet First Sergent. Unlike the army and marine corp, in the air force (and CAP) First Sergent is not a rank but a position.
