The grade of Cadet Master Sergeant (abbreviated C/MSgt) is the seventh enlisted grade of the Civil Air Patrol cadet program. The grade is synonymous with the Charles A. Lindbergh Achievement Award. After this promotion a cadet may e appointed Cadet First Sergent. Unlike the army and marine corp, in the air force (and CAP) First Sergent is not a rank but a position. First Sergents wear a small diamond on there rank insignias. They report directly to the Cadet commander and are the senor most NCo on a squadron level.
