Vekoma is a roller coaster and thrill ride designer with its facilities based in the Netherlands. The company has engineered rides ranging from massive steel roller coasters to water rides to family-friendly attractions.

Vekoma has been known to make (what is considered by roller coaster enthusiasts) mediocre rides that are mass produced (clones). An example of this includes clones of SLC's (Suspended Looping Coasters), which are commonly found throughout the world and the same case for Boomerang coasters.

Roller Coaster Types made by Vekoma

Boomerang - A three inversion shuttle coaster. Invented over 20 years ago, it remains to be a successful, yet overdone concept since all the rides are the same. In 1996, Vekoma introduced an inverted upgrade to this ride called an Invertigo. 5 years later, in 2001, Vekoma introduced the Super Invertigo (or Giant Inverted Boomerang), which included the spikes on the coaster to be vertical and the ride made taller and faster.
Corkscrew - A double inversion thrill ride, with both inversions being Corkscrews. Many other spin-offs of this ride exist as well, including a version with a Bayern Curve, and a version with two vertical loop inversions with the corkscrew element.
Flying Dutchman - A flying coaster. Riders are reclined back into a lay-down position and turn around on the first drop of the ride into a prone 'flying' position.
