Owl Studios is an independent record label, started by Al Hall, that concentrates on jazz, R&B, and jam band genres. It is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Owl studios was founded in 2005 as an unconventionally "artist friendly" label focusing on a much more generous profit sharing business plan than typical record labels offer.[1] After only 19 months, Owl Studios had more than a dozen releases under its belt.[1]
Starting in 2007, Owl Studios kicked into "high gear," with music videos playing a large part of its expanded direction.[2]
