:Good question. If the break up had happened a few years later it would be possible to answer that question from an old annual report on the internet. But as it is, after googling for an answer I'm at a loss. The only ways I can think of to find out are to write to the company or to visit a library that keeps old annual reports. With its acquisition by Lehigh UK (a subsidiary of the HeidelbergCement Group), Hanson plc is now Hanson Limited.

Good question. If the break up had happened a few years later it would be possible to answer that question from an old annual report on the internet.
