Ruth1898 is believed to be the world's oldest blogger and oldest member of an internet social networking community. Ruth's real name is Ruth Hamilton she was born on April 21, 1898, Ruth is a member of Growing Bolder, a social networking community with headquarters in central Florida. Ruth has lived a full if not fascinating life. She was a schoolteacher, one of America's first female radio talk show hosts, she taught diction to Hollywood starlets, owned several antique stores and became the first female ever to win a seat in the New Hampshire legislature. She was instrumental in passing laws that shut down orphanages and made littering a crime in that state. She was married to Carter Hamilton, who set a single game strikeout record playing baseball for the University of Iowa and was a member of the 1920 World Series winning Cleveland Indians. He became a prominent radiologist and died in 1949. Ruth has been a widow ever since. She was a world traveler well into her 90's and lectured all across the country. Today, she lives in an assisted living center in Central Florida. She still has a strong desire to help others and hopes to do so through her participation in the Growing Bolder web site.
