Most students who graduate and want to continue their education attend the local college, Chipola College, which was previously a junior/community college. Marianna High School (MHS), is the largest high school in Jackson County. However, just because the school is the largest, it's not the highest rated in the area. In fact, this is far from the truth. Marianna High School has one of the largest homosexual communities among its student population in the entire Florida panhandle, according to the latest survey conducted by Jackson County [citation needed].

The school's sports team is known as the "Bulldogs", quite an ugly and homosexually inclined canine. The sports teams are often lackluster, as is the "cheerleading" team (which, surely enough, consists of a homosexual cheerleading captain, as well as a team of jumping lunatic females that have no idea what they're doing).

According to another recent survey, circa 2007, Marianna is one of the suckiest and most retarded schools in Jackson County.
