"Sticks & Stones" is an episode of the second season of the American sitcom My Name Is Earl.

Synopsis
Earl was helping Catalina wax a co-worker's moustache and it took him back to number 92 on his list, "Made Fun of Maggie Lester." Earl remembered when he was in junior high school and he made fun of the new girl for having a moustache. He called her "Maggie P.I." in front of everybody in his class.

Earl found Maggie in the phone book and paid her a visit, only to discover that she now has a full beard. He talked about his list and explained that she was on it. He also found out that Maggie (Judy Greer) had become successful while working for a traveling circus. She explained to Earl that she had forgiven him and he did not need to do anything more and he was allowed to cross her off his list.

Randy and Earl discovered that Maggie lived in a freak town where all the carny folk live when it's not carnival season. They were learning about all types of different people. Earl and Randy hung out with a boy with lobster hands, a dwarf, and a man with a horn in his head. The tallest man of the freak show taught the two guys about the stock market.

Joy and Darnell met her court-appointed lawyer, Ruby Whitlow (Marlee Matlin), who happened to be a deaf woman. Joy was not comfortable with Ruby representing her. Ruby threatened to leave Joy and have her represent her own case. Joy thought that would be a great idea.

While hanging out with the freak show, Earl was reminded of the time when he was younger and was forced to take off his shirt at the pool and the kids made fun of his hairy nipples. He decided to confront the swim coach who made him take off his shirt.

Joy went back to Ruby to ask her take the case. She apologized for being so insensitive before. Joy also informed Ruby that she was going to start giving her the utmost respect. But when Ruby started to talk, Joy busted up laughing and once again Joy almost lost her lawyer.

Earl wanted to show he was not ashamed of his hairy nipples so decided to go back to the swimming pool and jump off the diving board with his shirt off. He almost chickened out, but his freak show friends showed up to give him support. Earl felt better and he jumped off the diving board.

Thanks to Earl's support, Maggie went on to become a real-estate agent (with her bearded face prominently displayed on a local billboard), and her friends also went on to re-integrate themselves into society.
