"My Best Moment" is the 80th episode of the American sitcom Scrubs. It originally aired on December 7, 2004.

Plot
J.D. gives a talk to some pre-med students about what it's like to be a doctor. One of them asks him what was his best moment in medicine. Later in the cafeteria he tries to persuade his colleagues to divulge their best moments. Despite their refusal to discuss this, the rest of the episode centres around their individual best moments. Each of these moments proves to be less than impressive. At the same time, the episode focuses on the patient Mr. Milligan who desperately wants to be home with his son for Christmas. He first falls unconscious, then is near death. Carla is the one who suggests the idea that his spleen was ruptured while wrestling with his son. Once this is known, he quickly goes to surgery, where Turk performs the operation. The conclusion is that each person pulls together to help get Mr. Milligan home and for each of them this becomes their best moment in medicine.

Sacred Heart staff best moments in medicine
The staff gave these as their best moments in medicine, until the Mr. Milligan incident.
*J.D.: Sleeping with a new grandmother, having started speaking to her after Dr. Mickhead delivers the baby
*Elliot: Getting to ride a pony to work after helping the owner of a pony farm who was a patient at the hospital
*Turk: Taking Dr. Beardfacé's record for the fastest appendectomy
*Carla: Being listened to by Dr. Mickhead when she advised him on how to remove a stain from his shirt
*Dr. Cox: Conducting the Heimlich Maneuver on a patient to remove gum when he choked, only for the gum to enter the mouth of another patient, and straight into a waste paper basket he was attempting to throw paper into from distance after repeating the procedure on the second patient
*Dr. Kelso: Pretending not to be a doctor after a man faints whilst on a beach on a trip sponsored by a drug company whilst in the company of two attractive Asian women - later the sponsoring company received the contract, as evidenced by Kelso's drinking from a coffee mug with their logo on it whilst remembering the event.
*Todd "The Todd" Quinlan: Giving a high five to a patient whose heart had stopped on the operating table and seeing the patient's heart restart - the high five in question being named the "Miracle Five" in honor of this.

Trivia
*During Dr. Kelso's best moment, he says the line, "You know I can't do this all on my own". This is a reference to the show's theme song, Superman.

Quotes
*Student: Dr. Dorian, what was your best moment in medicine?<br />J.D.: My best moment? Well, there was this guy...<br />Elliot: ...he had the most amazing little kid...<br />Carla: ...and the doctors actually listened to me...<br />Turk: ...I knocked the surgery right out the park...<br />Kelso: ...and I decided to pull some strings for the guy...<br />Dr. Cox: ...and honest to God, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself but Newbie handled the whole thing wire-to-wire...<br />J.D.: ...and I kept my promise - because the two of them got home for Christmas. And that was my best moment in medicine.
*Turk: (in French) I have an Eiffel Tower in my pants...Grapefruit!

Featured music
* The song playing in the background during the last moments of the episode is a cover of The Beatles song "Please Please Me" but with lyrics from the Christmas song "Joy to the World," performed by The Butties.
