"My Old Friend's New Friend" is the 69th episode of the American sitcom Scrubs. It originally aired as Episode 1 of Season 4 on August 31, 2004.

Plot
Molly Clock (Heather Graham), the hospital's new psychiatrist, becomes friends with Elliot while Turk, J.D. and Carla give the impression of shutting her out.
J.D. gets his scooter.

Production Notes
* Dr. Molly Clock is named after one of the shows medical advisers, Dr. Dolly Klock.

* Dr. Cox's "I Don't Care" rant is significantly cut in syndication airings of the episode; everything he lists between "all Kabbalah-related products" and "Hugh Jackman" is excised in the syndicated version.

* J.D. writes the name "Al Coholic" on the white board before talking to Elliot about how she can't hang out with Turk and Carla. However, when he turns to leave, the name has changed to "Dr. Ass Face."

* Early in the series there was a musical cue that was used at the ends of sad or wistful scenes. By this season, it had become so noticeable that, in the eyes of the show's producers, it had become a cliché. Further, according to Bill Lawrence in Series 1 DVD commentary, its use had caused it to start coming into the heads of cast and crew members whenever something sad happened to them in real life. For this reason it was decided to retire the cue by making it a part of J.D.'s imagination. Since then, the cue has been used several times as a joke when characters are pretending to be sad.

* After Elliot is talking to J.D. in the parking lot about Turk, Carla and himself being in a motorcycle gang he yells out "Wolverines, lets roll". This is a reference to the Wolverines, a resistance group in the movie Red Dawn.

Featured music
* "Rapper's Delight" by Sugar Hill Gang
* "I'd Do Anything for Love" by Meat Loaf
* "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen
