==Synopsis==

Ben takes the news of his diagnosis pretty well - at least better than his sister Jordan and J.D. Dr. Cox tells Ben, Jordan and J.D. that they can beat the cancer making J.D. see him as a hero. Later, Dr. Zeltzer wants to start Ben on chemotherapy straight away but Ben doesn't want to. Ben isn't happy about Dr. Cox not being there at the first session. In fact he bails from the entire situation, because he is afraid for Ben. J.D. confronts Dr. Cox about him being afraid of Ben dying and doesn't want to stay at the hospital. Dr. Cox tells him that it is actually J.D. who is afraid he may have to rely on himself for a while. J.D. makes his way to Ben's room and then sees that Dr. Cox has arrived earlier so he doesn't stick around. Dr. Cox tells Ben that he got scared and he isn't good at talking about this kind of situation.
Fortunately, Ben's cancer goes into remission.

Turk is upset that he didn't get to do the Whipple surgery. Bonnie, Turk's competitive colleague, has the surgery instead. Turk confronts Dr. Wen about the whipple procedure, and reckons Bonnie only got the surgery because they are both Asian. Later, Turk apologizes for his earlier behaviour and Dr. Wen accepts, but also tells him that Todd is the best surgical intern at the hospital, due his ability to get into the "moment" and not to worry about the next move. Turk is quite upset at that fact and watches him work to believe it but eventually tells Dr. Wen that he isn't worried about who is the best surgical intern right now, as he is confident he will one day be the best.
