The acronym PBM originally referred to Play-by-mail games [PBM], a form of entertainment popular in the 1970s through the early 1990s.
It can also refer to:
- Personal Broadband Mobile - the gaming, multimedia, entertainment, and communications that individuals can now access via the Internet while mobile and includes all forms of broadband data, voice and video applications (see: PBM), including technologies of WiMax and WiFi.
- A Pharmacy Benefit Management company, such as Medco Health Solutions, Caremark Rx, Express Scripts or Walgreens Health Initiatives (WHI)
- The Martin PBM Mariner flying boat
- Portable bitmap - a monochrome variant of the Portable pixmap graphic file format
- Project Based Management , a Project Management Methodology as defined in PRINCE2
