History Rocks is a non-fiction educational television program shown on The History Channel.
Each episode explains several important historical events by use of still photographs, footage, expert interviews and a song of that era that ties into the story (For example, they used "Don't Fear the Reaper" by the Blue Oyster Cult for their piece on the Jonestown Massacre)[1]
In 2007 it was awarded "Best Short form audiovisual entertainment made for mobile and/or Internet lifestyle/music" at Mipcom's Mobile and Internet TV Awards[2]
The program is produced by NY-based Atlas Media Corporation. Executive Producer is Bruce David Klein
