Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM gets a rave culture makeover in this energetic and funny adaptation set at an all night druggy dance party. After sunset, a group of Los Angeles friends are given a dose of a glowing green "love potion" by their party boy pal, Puck. As the evening unfolds, the gang's lack of inhibitions will allow them to connect with the boys and girls of their dreams and become one with the music. But will a soured drug deal ruin their collective high? Andrew Keegan (10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU) stars in this energetic slice of comedic decadence set to a pulsating beat.

Other Synopsis:

Xander, a common cool dude, is the main character; in love with Mia, a semi-high society girl, who is with Damon, a pretentious spoiled, wealthy man; who is Elena's ex-boyfriend. Elena is somewhat still in love with Damon, and she and Xander bond over their mutual feelings for others. Xander's room-mate, Stosh, a drug-smuggler gets on the wrong side of Doc, a criminal interested only in making money and taking care of his baby daughter. On his way out to see his friend Nick; Xander takes Doc's jacket, not knowing that his roommate Stosh has stolen it; along with a ton of money. Doc shows up, demands his money from Stosh, and upon hearing Xander has it, knocks Tosch out after being told Xander will be at a rave later that night called Summer Nocturne. Meanwhile, Xander is having breakfast with his friend Nick, who was just fired from his job as an entertaining donkey for children. Nick heckles Xander about his obsession with Mia, and convinces Xander he should just go for it. Nick leaves, Xander pays the bill.

We are then introduced to Puck, a lovable bi-sexual drug dealing fairy. "Now i can sell you this One, but if i do, trust me, you're going to wish you had this one to help bring you down, it won't bring you down all the way, but it will help you level off. If you come too far down and you're feeling mushy, it's good to have one of these handy, they're effective, easy to swallow, gives you that mmm the moment feeling. I take this one myself, in fact I'm on it right now, see ..*spins*...But if you take the one too soon, it might make you a little paranoid and you don't want that so just pop one of these babies to help you ease all that; oh, but don't take it while you're driving unless you have on of these. And if Jason (party organizer) catches you with any of this shit, you didn't get it from me, I'm not going back to being a callboy."

It pans to Jason talking on his cell in an outdoor path with tiki torches and stone buddahs about the venue and the equipment for the party. He mentions OB John to the caller, since OB is the one who hooked them up with the venue.

O.B. John is introduced as a meditating, Jesus-Buddah style trippy hippie.

Pans to Nick getting a ride with the rest of the party organizers in their furry green and pink van. They discuss equipment, and the female organizer describes the party as, "celestial, cosmic, in tune with all that is and all that ever will be, this is going to be the rave of the century, we're going to blow some minds."

Pans to Doc reading a map and driving.

Pans to Elena in her hair salon, waiting for Xander. She, her friend, and Xander all talk and then they get in Xander's car.

Pans to Mia with Damon, arguing with him to slow down since they have plenty of time to get to the party.

Pans to Nick and the crew setting up, mixing drinks, setting up stags, moving stuff, decorating. Puck and O.B. John are in the back behind some falling vines. O.B. brings Puck a bag of "white triangles, blue squares, green clovers." He also gives Puck a jar of glowing pills that will make whoever takes it fall in love with the next person, animal or object they see. He warns Puck that they are not for everyone, that they should only be given to those who are worthy.

Pans to Xander and Elena, arguing over being lost.

Pans to Nick and set-up chick talking about Xander and Mia's relations as they work on the stage. It's almost show time! Nick sends a friend to get him some pills from Puck.

Pans to Mia and Damon waiting outside for Damon's friend. They all enter the party.

Elena and Xander are bickering since Xander's car is stuck and the Mapquest directions are faulty. They faintly hear some bass and follow is across a wooden bridge. They arrive at the rave and are amazed. It appears to be a fantastical garden filled with fairy lights and full of tall trees, lights, lasers, etc.

Xander and Elena find Nick, he's already rolling but asks Xander for more money. Xander gives it to him and he and Elena depart Nick to go party.

Pans to O.B. John and Puck. O.B. has a crush on a female DJ and dispatches Puck to give her drugged water. She thanks Puck but leaves it on the stage when she moves her box of records.
