Bart Mendoza (Born Sept. 5, 1962) is an American journalist, musician and songwriter. Currently the front man for mod-influenced power-pop group,The Shambles (1991 - today), Mendoza was previously a member of Manual Scan (1981-1990). As San Diego, California based journalist he has written for numerous publications including the local editions of The Reader and Citybeat, as well as The San Diego Union and it's weekly arts insert Night & Day. International publications include British Time Out Guides for Southern California and Spanish rock magazine Ansia De Color. He has also penned liner notes for artists including The Lolas, Ryan Ferguson and Phil Angeloff.
