I think we already know the answer

Contributors in good standing are allowed reasonably wide latitude in user space. That said, if you've got something in user space that people object to enough to bring it up, you should consider changing or removing it. Also, let's be clear: these are not "cabals". A cabal is a social construct. These are user space pages. Just because the page contains the word "cabal" doesn't mean it should be treated any differently than any other user space page.
