A tag has been placed on [[:Kim Si-min]], requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the [[WP:CSD#Articles|criteria for speedy deletion]], because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see [[Wikipedia:Stub#Essential information about stubs|Wikipedia:Stub]] for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on [[Wikipedia:Notability|notable]] subjects and should provide references to [[Wikipedia:Reliable sources|reliable sources]] which [[Wikipedia:Verifiability|verify]] their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that [[Wikipedia:Administrators|administrators]] wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template <code>{{tl|hangon}}</code> to the page and state your intention on the article's [[Help:Talk page|talk page]]. :It's not a problem. I did some research, and he seems like a notable enough figure to merit having his own page. A pointer would be to develop a page for Kim Si-min in your sandbox (such as at [[User:Odst/Kim_Si-min]] for example; just create the page and it's part of your user page). Then you can move it to the mainpage when it's of good enough quality to at least be a stub. As for your question why I'm up so late, it's because I can be. Cheers. ==License tagging for Image:H02.jpg==
Thanks for uploading [[:Image:H02.jpg]]. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags|image tag]] applied to the [[Wikipedia:Image description page|image description page]] indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:
* [[Wikipedia:Image use policy]]
* [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags]]

This is an automated notice by [[User:OrphanBot|OrphanBot]]. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at [[Wikipedia:Media copyright questions]]. 22:07, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

==Unspecified source for Image:H02.jpg==

Thanks for uploading '''[[:Image:H02.jpg]]'''. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the [[copyright]] status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{tl|GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the [[GFDL]]. If you believe the media meets the criteria at [[Wikipedia:Fair use]], use a tag such as {{tlp|Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use]]. See [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags]] for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following [{{fullurl:Special:Log|type=upload&user={{PAGENAMEE}}}} this link]. '''Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged''', as described on [[wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#Images.2FMedia|criteria for speedy deletion]]. If the image is copyrighted under a [[Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Fair use|non-free license]] (per [[Wikipedia:Fair use]]) then '''the image will be deleted [[WP:CSD#I7|48 hours]] after 01:12, 30 January 2007 (UTC)'''. If you have any questions please ask them at the [[Wikipedia:Media copyright questions|Media copyright questions page]]. Thank you. [[User:Balloonguy|Balloonguy]] 01:12, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

== Gipumjo ==
Hi, I see you're a member of WikiProject Korea and wonder if you can help me with an inquiry. Is there a group of "entertainment women" (maybe translated variously as "pleasure groups," "pleasure squad," or "pleasure brigade") maintained by Kim Jong-Il and his father called ''gipumjo''? I have heard about this but cannot find anything about it online. Maybe my spelling is wrong. I think we should have an article about this, as it doesn't seem to be discussed anywhere. Thanks in advance for information bout this. [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 06:00, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. I have no special interest beyond a general interest in Korean culture, music, and cuisine (not politics particularly), but a friend just forwarded me Feb. 1st's article from the ''South China Morning Post'' describing the life of the 35-year-old son of Kim Jong-il, who apparently lives with his family in Macau. His mother, and some of Kim Jong-il's mistresses have been from this troupe so I looked for information in his article, but there really isn't anything. I'm fairly sure that the pronunciation is something like ''gipumjo'' but I don't know the exact hangul. [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 06:13, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

OK, someone helped with the hangul. Any idea of the hanja? The first syllable is 氣. I made an article [[Gippeumjo|here]]; can you check it? There may be better resources in Korean, though maybe not all completely accurate. [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 19:32, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

==Korean cuisine==
Thanks. While you're at it, I'll say that I've made and fixed up a lot of articles on Korean foods and wines, but I'm not Korean so occasionally I need someone to verify things. Would you be interested or willing to help with these kinds of articles? [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 06:06, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

== Ongnyugeum ==

Hi, any idea how to spell (in hangul and/or hanja) '''ongnyugeum'''? It's apparently a large modernized box zither with 32 nylon-wrapped metal strings, developed in North Korea in 1973. I saw a photo in a book but there's no Korean spelling. Thus I can't find even one website in English about this contraption. Thanks, [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 06:35, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

:I have never hear of it. i'll try and look it up. [[User:Odst|Odst]] 15:33, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you; I found it with some help, and added the information at [[Traditional Korean musical instruments]]. [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 03:12, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

== [[Kayageum]] ==
How do you know that? It was very long ago. Maybe named for the [[Gaya confederacy]]. [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 03:59, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

It's a family tree of Yangbans (all men?), going back to Gaya, Silla, and Goryeo. But who is the inventor of the gayageum? It was modified from a Chinese instrument, the [[zheng]]. How do you know who did that in Korea? [[User:Badagnani|Badagnani]] 04:23, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

== regarding recent edit to [[USS Tang (SS-563)]] ==

Hi, I just noticed your edit [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=USS_Tang_%28SS-563%29&diff=prev&oldid=112741480] in which your edit summary was 'removed vandalism'. Just so that you know this isn't vandalism. In fact most Navy ships are sponsored by a woman, usually the wife or daughter of some officer or some local official, in this case the wife of [[Richard O'Kane]]. You can see this is also true from the DANFS entry [http://history.navy.mil/danfs/t2/tang-ii.htm]. I just thought I should let you know this isn't a mistake, or vandalism. I am awed by the ability of your writing, and stuff. You sound like a real man (as in uh-reun). Ok, I understand your point, and will try to follow it. But, since you know so much, it would be better if you can realize the reality too. I was shocked at first by this reality, and felt emotionally distorted, but now, I have to learn a way to bring myself back together. The contents in the following site will give you a way of viewing things differently, no, the way of viewing things for what it really was, and what it truly is. [http://openyoureyes.web1000.com This is all true, all true.] [[User:Amphitere|Amphitere]] 04:47, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

== ok. ==

I don't want to get in a fight with you, for u r my friend and adviser. But, what I'm confused about is... How can you just criticize on one race? As if... "most" of the people in that race were -the things that you said on your paragraph-. So, I put Japanese and Chinese there, because they are the same. Actually, all countries are the same in the term of greed, etc. all the stuff u said. But...no one realizes it. So, my point is that, you can'
t just pick one race and criticize it, you can't criticize any race. ANY! Ok, maybe it is alright to criticize a little, but the way you said it, is impolite. Imagine other Koreans reading it and look like they were just hit by lightning, or Japanese people reading it and laughing at a person who says bad things about his own country. So... if you understand me, I didn't correct your paragraph because of racism, but because of equality.

:But, it is against the wiki norm to edit another person's userpage without permission. Therefore, I will be prepared to receive punishments. Maybe I should have told you that the things that you wrote on your paragraph were not worded very appropriately. Even if the "Freedom of Userpages" exist, there are still rules that can not be disobeyed. I hope the you understood what I said. With regrets of my own foolish actions, I apologize to thee greatly. [[User:Amphitere|Amphitere]] 03:39, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

==Carefully reconsider==

Please explain why you reverted my edits on [[anti-Japanese sentiment]]. The changes I made were all well-motivated:

1. The paragraph was in a mess, switching from WWII to trade and back again.
2. The section made reference to Japanese prejudice against the West (White barbarians, etc.). This is not relevant to the article, which is about anti-Japanese sentiment (and besides, I would like to know what Japanese phrases these terms are a translation of).
3. The assertion that "Japan has rejected all compensation demands of China origin up until July 2007" is patently false if you read the sources given (have you?)
4. The statements regarding 'medieval times' and 'Because of an entire millenia of tension and distrust between these three powers' are not sourced and don't make sense.

Your subsequent edits ride delete an entire section that has been written by other editors and is, in addition, poorly written, marked by bad spelling, grammar, and markup. They are also broad brush statements that are virtually meaningless (What exactly does "The atrocities committed before and during [[world war two]] by the [[Imperial Japansese Army]] and the respective regimes before the [[Meiji restoration]] have not been forgotten, and effect '''maritime relationships''' between [[Japan]] and other Nations in [[Asia]], particularly with [[People's Republic of China]], The [[Rpublic of Korea]], and theDemocratic People's Republic of Korea]]" mean? That past Japanese atrocities are stopping Japanese ships from going to these countries?)

I would be grateful if you could explain the basis for your edits.

[[User:Bathrobe|Bathrobe]] 00:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

:I don't think that you've greatly improved the article. The statement about 'maritime relations' still doesn't make sense. I also don't agree with characterising Chinese compensation demands as 'outrageous'.

:I think that the section needs rewriting, firstly to make it more coherent, and secondly to remove all the statements and "facts" that try to show how many grudges people have against the Japanese. It really doesn't help either the Koreans or Chinese when too much anti-Japanese sentiment is expressed in the article itself, because people will just conclude that such editors just have a chip on their shoulders.

:Also, what do you base your edits on? A desire to improve the English? A desire to improve the coherency of the article? Or a desire to have your own views reflected in the article? If that is the case, exactly what views are you trying to have reflected?

:[[User:Bathrobe|Bathrobe]] 01:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

::It's OK. [[User:LDHan]] has reverted your edits. The section is still pretty poorly written, but I suggest that before you go in and change anything, you consider (1) exactly what you want to do and whether it is an improvement (2) whether it is motivated. For instance, how do you know that Chinese claims for compensation are "outrageous"? Do you have a source to prove that this is true? As far as I know, nobody has said that they are outrageous. Using the word "outrageous" expresses a very strong judgement and shouldn't be done lightly. Similarly for other changes.

::Also, try using the "Show preview" function to see what the page is going to look like before you save it.

::[[User:Bathrobe|Bathrobe]] 02:26, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid my revert has been reverted by Odst.

Please provide a edit summary when you edit an article. Contrary to your claim that "No information was changed or distorted." actually your unexplained edits did removed content, two paragraphs were completely removed without any explanation. [[User:LDHan|LDHan]] 02:50, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

:If you have made a mistake, the best thing is to revert and start again, this time with edit summaries. [[User:LDHan|LDHan]] 02:57, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

==Removal of paragraph==
I'm really sorry Odst, I was in fact planning to put that back again, except in better English & with better citation. The thing is that I adopted a new method of editing Wikipedia - copy pasting the wiki onto rich text format & then editing it off line & then copy pasting back. I'm sorry. ([[User:Wikimachine|Wikimachine]] 02:26, 22 July 2007 (UTC))

:I saw your edit & that confuses me. Didn't you revert or move something back? Where did I remove it? ([[User:Wikimachine|Wikimachine]] 02:28, 22 July 2007 (UTC))

Odst, I sadly overwrote your edit. I had a version that I had worked for several hours so I couldn't help but to copy paste. I'll try to restore what I can. ([[User:Wikimachine|Wikimachine]] 02:47, 22 July 2007 (UTC))

No I think that we're working on two different sections. There should be no problem restoring. ([[User:Wikimachine|Wikimachine]] 02:48, 22 July 2007 (UTC))

:Oh no, I already restored so, thx for your concern. I'm trying to get this article to featured status by tonight or tomorrow morning. ([[User:Wikimachine|Wikimachine]] 02:52, 22 July 2007 (UTC))

Thx. I see I'm not the only one trying to get hands on those books. I went to the main library yesterday & got the Stephen Turnbull's Samurai Invasion book so it got me pretty happy & it's pretty fun to read. All this time, I've been gathering materials for the Imjin War & now I'm ready to make this article a featured one. ([[User:Wikimachine|Wikimachine]] 03:03, 22 July 2007 (UTC))

== Article on Biryu's kingdom ==

I'm the idiot that wrote the article [[Former Baekje]]. I wasn't drunk or high when i wrote that article. I knew what I was doing, and I would greatly appreciate if you would discuss with me whatever you happen to find inappropriate next time. Maybe the name "Former Baekje" wasn't a real good name for it, but Korean historians have produced new results from their studies of Onjo's older brother Biryu and his kingdom. Would you like me to show you?? As a fellow Korean Wikipedian, I would like to discuss with you and not start a pointless argument. Please understand this. I'll be waiting for your reply. --[[User:Kprideboi|Kprideboi]] 01:56, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Haha. No, you did not hurt my feelings in saying that. I can understand your disbelief at the existence of such a subject. I admit that the title was a bit lame, and inaccurate. I also understand your frustration at seeing people distort history with the vain motives of trying to benefit their country's image. I've seen it happen, but let's not point fingers. I did not do anything out of ambition or out of greed. And NO. It never was about pride or nationalism. I'm doing this not only for my counry, but also because I have a passion for our country's history. I do not intend to distort any articles in order to "glorify" our country. That is something that ruins my personal pride and ruins the image of my people as you mentioned. Yes, it is BULLSHIT. I detest that sort of dishonesty just as much as you do. Now, let's put all aggression aside and try to get to the source of our conflict. I did not come to work on Wikipedia to raise my blood pressure, and get an early grave. Now, about [[Biryu Baekje]]. Tell me what you would like for me to do, and what you think about it. I hope that we may work together, as we do share some similar passions. --[[User:Kprideboi|Kprideboi]] 18:41, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

First, I want to thank you for understanding and being open to peaceful discussion. Now, to business. The sources I found for [[Biryu Baekje]] are not from a textbook, but an analysis that was copied onto a blog. By the way, don't feel sorry about that. You're a hard worker, and I respect you for that. Besides, I've heard worse from other people before. Hahaha. Ok, this is a source for Wutae. http://blog.empas.com/jklee68/15362662. Wutae is recorded as a 서손 of King Hae Buru. I dont know what 서손 is, but it is recorded in this source. He isn't a follower of Yeon Ta-Bal as seen in the drama, but he did exist and he was the first husband of Soseuno. Soseuno was actually a few years older that Chumo Taewang. I did not have time to look for a source today because I am busy in real life just as you are. Can you agree not to perform any actions until I've given you a source? Believe me, I do have sources. I'm not wasting your time. Go to Naver.co.kr, and type in 비류백제. There will be several pages. There will be an accurate source or an analysis that would explain the existence of Biryu's kingdom, and how this came to be. Good night. If you did not find a source on naver, then I will look for it directly. --[[User:Kprideboi|Kprideboi]] 03:14, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Its me again. Kprideboi. Which facts did you find to be false and pointless? Let's discuss this. And what would you say to making a separate page for the revival movements of the individual kingdoms? :No, you initially said that there was no such thing as Goguryeo-guk, then prodded the article and tagged it with {{tl2|hoax}}. Now you say that the revival movement was real, and that the contents of the article are ''not'' a hoax. ;) [[User:PC78|PC78]] 23:50, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
::No worries, and you're right, I don't have much knowledge of the Korean language (or history, for that matter). I was simply addressing concerns over the prod that were raised on the project's talk page. At least we're both on the same page now! :) [[User:PC78|PC78]] 00:07, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

I can see that "Goguryeo-guk" was giving you a hard time. How's the "Kingdom of Bodeok." But then Bodeok was the name given to Anseung's small kingdom in Geum-Majuh after he surrendered to Silla. Alright. I suppose Goguryeo guk was a sort of lame name. You probably know by now that I'm not that good with names or sources. Learn Hanja? I can always give that a try. I know that I'll have to eventually. Ur in high school, rite? What grade? I'm rising Junior. The names that I'm gonna give for these revival movement pages. Baekje Revival Movements, etc. how does that sound?

Seriously. You sound like my tutor. lol. You seem very mature and advanced in writing and research for someone your age. Hear me out though. I won't treat you any differently just because you are younger than me. Age is nothing but a number, and I respect a person for his/her abilities and capabilities. I hope that we can put our age and differences aside and continue to work together to represent our country honorably and reveal more of its history to those who are unaware. == LR ==

The whole point of the sidebar on the right hand side of the LR page is to give quick information about the rocks. If you want the right bar to simply indicate 'occupation' then you need to remove additional information about what province in Korea they are in. This of course would render the bar worthless as it would look like this:

Present Occupation

Korea

The body text already gives clear information about who presently occupies the islands. Sidebars are there to present straight 'factual' information about the islands such as the size, population, location. It would be POV to have "North Gyeongsang (Ulleung County)" in the side bar but not "Shimane (Okinoshima Town, Oki District, Shimane)" . If you're not happy with the word "Administration" in the header of that sidebar then come up with something new, but it makes no sense from on informational viewpoint to have one province/prefecture over the other.

A reader coming to the LR page seeing just

South Korea

Province North Gyeongsang (Ulleung County)

with the Korean flag would conclude that the islands are Korean rather than disputed. Wikipedia is there to inform and at present keeping the sidebar as it is achieves that. It informs that the islands are disputed(and this is the only reason the islands are of much interest anyway) with the 2 flags, it informs where the respective countries regard the islands to be, and by merit of Korea coming first it informs that they occupy (although you are welcome to make that more clear).

Removing Japan simply makes the article unbalanced and with the body of the text making it clear that Korea presently occupies the island, it is unnecessary. This article is plagued by POV edits that seek to promote a point of view rather than inform. The article as it stands informs. Removing Shimane is simply removing useful information for readers to understand the situation.

Of course, as I've said if you don't like the word 'Administration' then find an alternative but don't remove that useful information.

Many thanks,
[[User:Macgruder|Macgruder]] 12:29, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps "Administrative Office" would suffice. Not ideal but it makes it clear that this is not 'occupation' but local administration. [[User:Macgruder|Macgruder]] 13:50, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Mr. Odst its too bad that there is something called racism in America. I am proud in America and Korea, just as you are. I see that you have similar dreams to me, but unfortunately for you, racism will block your way. You will, say, go to West Point, correct? Yes, in America, there is little racism, but its very different in the military. I want you to know that you will not be met with the greatest welcome in the American military. So why should you go to 육사? Its Korean! If you're fluent in Korean, why wouldnt any Korean go to the Korean "West Point"! I live in the US also, but I am pure Korean.
Odst, what is the point of the military? What do you wish to do? You can serve for your entire life in any military, but hey, whats the point of serving as a rear-echelon pfc forever? The point of the military is '''advancing up the ranks'''. Only then can you do something for your nation by being powerful enough to affect military, possibly national, decisions.

'''Do you believe you will have the same chance going up the ranks in the USMC as the ROK Army?'''

No, you wont, and that wont change for a long time. If you knew what the American military is like, you wouldnt go.

Respect what Ive said. I will never mean anything wrong for you, and please dont take it offensively. I wish for all proud Koreans to acheive their goals. You can go join the USMC, suit yourself. But please, I hope you understand what Ive said, because the fact is, you will have difficult times in the USMC. As an Asian, it will be a miracle for you to even earn a 1-star. Hello Odst, I'm [[User:Watermint|Watermint]]. Regarding your recently edits [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Liancourt_Rocks&diff=177539161&oldid=177406753], [[User:Opp2|Opp2]] is demanding to explain a reason for your revert as [[Talk:Liancourt Rocks#Sangoku setsujozu]]. According his objection, two islands drawn on center of the sea in Hayashi's old map. The interpretation with these equivalent to which present island is divided between Korean scholar and Japanese scholar. The Korean scholar interprets those two islands as Ullung-do and Tokdo ([http://www2.gol.com/users/hsmr/Content/East%20Asia/Korea/Dokto_Island/Maps/Sangoku_1785.html]), but the Japanese scholar interprets those as Ullung-do and [[Jukdo]] ([[http://www.pref.shimane.lg.jp/soumu/web-takeshima/takeshima04/takeshima04_01/index.data/11_c.pdf] P149).

Therefore, he suggest to change the contents as followings;
:''Following the diplomatic spat ..... On the map Ulleungdo and a '''islet''' are shown, at the correct latitude and longitude, in yellow. Alongside the islands Hayashi wrote, "Korea's possessions." Korean scholer say this '''islet''' is Liancourt Rocks. Japanese say this is Jukdo from the distance with Ulleungdo.''

His change seems to me more suitable for NPOV rather than the currently description. Please let us know what is the reason for your revert?--<font color="#8689c3">[[User:Watermint|W/mint]]</font><font color="#2a6e6b">[[User Talk:Watermint|-Talk-]]</font> 12:32, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

==!(makes a lot of sense as a title, doesnt it?)==

You talk as if what you say are cold facts. Ive never seen someone trash something as simply and nonchalantly as you do. Have you no shame? You hate Korea, yet you know nothing about it. "Lost honor and integrity" "societies filled with ambition, greed, and lust"...

Let me tell you one thing, son. Ambition, greed, and lust are things present in EVERY society, EVERY government. What makes you believe that only Korea retains those characteristics?

"Lost honor and integrity"...made me laugh. Ive already told you I love America as much as I do Korea, and although I hate to admit it, the one who has "lost his honor and integrity" is the USA by means of a very unpopular war and a very incompetent president. Im sure America is trusted around the world today. Think about which country is one of the most hated one right now.

I dont live only for myself and my pride. I live for my country. And you dont humble yourself to...to what? You tell me to "humble myself" but what is there to humble to? If there is anything that can clear my eyes, its knowledge of the history and culture of East Asian countries. Know your enemy to defeat it.

Tell me-is it only serving you do in the military? Yes, probably in your own little world, a world of dissenters and anarchists. Who leads the military? You climb ranks to lead, to fulfill the retired or dead spots of previous leaders, to spawn a new, successful breed of soldiers as your superiors did before. You want to muck around in the mud, dodging bullets forever to stick to your over disciplined concept of always following?

Korea is a homogeneous country, always has been, always will be. If you have a problem with it, you can go shoot yourself, because homogeneous countries prosper just as well as diverse countries like America. Just like your poetic list of "ambition, greed, lust" racism is a characteristic of any modern or modernizing country. Its there. What are you going to do about it? What are going to do about me hating China? Do you even know why I hate China? Do you believe I hate them because of the color of their skin? Racism is just another by-product of chauvinism and facsism. It doesnt exist alone. Would you consider chavinists and nationalists as the "weak minded"? You proud to be American? According to you, it makes yourself weak-minded.

Do you think people choose to be born in war-torn countries in Africa and the Middle East? What, were you given special preference by God because youre special and you deserve a life in peace in America? You cant be born to a race by choice, and apparently for some people with unorganized genes like you, I guess intelligence also isnt a choice for some people.

I dont give a rats ass if a retired top military leader is Japanese. So what? What point were you trying to make there? Racism is no restraint to those committed to rise to the top? You made me laugh yet again.

==Nationalism==

Before I write anything in response, I just want to let you know that your writing was very ambiguous, you used a lot of anecdotes unknown to me, and everything was generally poorly organized. It probably seems normal writing to you, but its missing information that I need to understand, so blame yourself if you get unexpected responses to yours.

Sentences like:
-Your love of nationality blinds stake at which it it costs to bring up your worthless life.
-Shits walk around saying that their country is so great, the "master race" and shit like that, and that stupid excuse for a competition "Olympics" and that wonderful pussy-talk over some stupid soccer game
-Yeah, like you said, if like every other society korea has no "dignity" or "honor" (did I really say lust? -gasp- :-o), what is there to like about a silly excuse for a society, much less what is there to elevate or deify such? Be real; and relax, since you probably have more in your genes than you and yourself realize :-) Disregarding unnamely aspects of your own party and degrading your opponent sounds very childish and laughable to me, ha. ha.

-and your totally laughable anecdotes of a bar lady, berated shoplifting Mexicans, murder stories of dads, and your amusing “memories” of squabbling with Korean “fobs”, which makes absolutely no sense at all nor is relevant to the topic of you disgust of my “nationalism”.

Read all the sentences out loud, kid, which I so kindly organized for you. Do they make any sense? It doesn’t help that the grammar fails miserably in all three paragraphs.

I was suspicious of your identity from the very beginning. Now that you’ve gone and revealed yourself, I blame only myself for falling for your deceptive incognito. You’re a lying bastard, and a fool. I’ve seen plenty of your kind, retaining false identities and nationalities to confuse critics and gain an upperhand in all those pointless debates on Wikipedia.

Lets take a review of some of the things that describe you. You are:

Korean
High school student
Lives in America, somewhere else than Korea

Hates Korea
Hates Korean society
Hates how Koreans live
Hates his own fellow Koreans
Appears to have fought maliciously with his fellow Korean students
Hates nationalists like Oyo321
Has no pride of being Korean
Catholic
Anti-Confucius

Don’t take this little analysis as a joke or a friendly posture. Moreover, it is for me, some facts for me to look off and write without making mistakes.

You’re right-I have met and witnessed some intelligent, polite and polished Japanese and Chinese people in my life, and have befriended many of them. Contradictory? Not only because the most that I have met have been the quite opposite, but my social situation disallowed me from doing anything. As a member of a lone family in America, it was always lonely in high school-with only a few Koreans to connect with. It was the exact opposite with other races. White, Japanese, Chinese, Indian all outnumbered Koreans at least 10 to 1. Do you think I was about to be discriminatory to what few “Asian” friends I could befriend? Or show aggressive emotions to everyone I hated?

Like I mentioned before, what you wrote has had nearly nothing to do with the topic of nationalism and chauvinism, but with how you hate Korea.

You probably wouldn’t know how disappointed I am hearing those hateful words from a fellow Korean. A prideless Korean that takes a step farther and criticizes his own mother country.

Korea is not a perfect country. Singling out Korea’s worst problems and exaggerating them and hating Korea is quite juvenile, because as I said in my last response, every country has its own fails and successes, embarrassing moments and shining moments. You use stereotypes of certain Korean people and bash on them and how since they suck the whole country sucks.

You fail to embrace your culture, to accept what it is. You fail to see beyond the problems and the fact that there is a solution to everything.

Something or someone obviously negatively hurt you and either indoctrinated you or gave you the wrong idea when you were young.

Why do I hate China? Why don’t you? Why doesn’t the rest of the world? Do you even take glimpses into Korean history books? Do you have the slightest notion of what China has done to Korea in the past and today? Or how vile they themselves as a country is? Do you read the news?

Why do I hate Japan? I don’t hate Japan as much as China-they are clean and innovative people. However that doesn’t allow me to forget their colonial attitude in the past and the crimes they committed to Korean people.

When you learn of these things, I find it unbelievable that you find no emotion as a Korean. You must have a Korean War vet within your family line.

You seem like the kind of person to hate America. If you do, you seriously need to reexamine your life. Im not going to even tell you why you shouldn’t hate America, because I automatically any anti-US Korean as a piece of trash.

A “stupid islet”? See? It’s the problem with almost any party that views this naming war between Korea and Japan. They simply think its just a “name” and not worth fighting over. Way too shallow. Its not just a name-the islets have hundreds of years of history behind them, and is a symbolic as well as an economic asset. To give in to Japanese claims of their “Takeshima” would be a psychological blow to Korea, not to mention a breaking of an age-old law that gives Dokdo’s rights to Korea. Do you know how much fishing grounds Japan has compared to Korea in the East Sea? It would almost double with the addition of Dokdo in Japan’s possession.

But of course, since you don’t give a shit about your own nation, I’m probably just talking out of my ass to you.

Son, hating China is something that every Korean should embrace. Analysts and historians from European countries (this is true) predict Korea to be one of the world’s strongest nations by 2020, with an economy within the top 5. We may not prepare with guns or swords as we have done in the past, but we will prepare nonetheless to match China’s economic giant, and to remain even stronger despite the Chinese rise.

It doesn’t matter whether it was their ancestors that committed crimes in the past. The Chinese still have an aggressive attitude towards Korea. Ever heard of textbook distortion? Wild claims to Korean history? Why do you think they do that? China is embarrassed because of their failure to conquer Korea over the past 5000 years. How could a puny country defy Chinese invasion and even attack China in some times in history? How could the stupid country called Korea claim the Taegeuk to their flag before us? How could they claim Baekdusan as their own? How did they not get crushed under the Chinese invasion in the Korean War?

There is a lot to learn from the Japanese. They’re right wing may be radical, but remember, it is that pride and nationalism that helped Japan truly become a superpower in the 20 Century. Their sense of unity and especially the quality of the individual Japanese soldier and his undying loyalty to the Mikado is something that all Koreans must learn to do. Nationalism is what made America strong, the Soviet Union strong, its what made Korea strong enough to be able to pull through five consecutive decades of colonization and invasion.

I weep when I think of the Koreans who gave their blood so that you and I could enjoy this freedom and country. I have many veterans of the Korean War and the Korean Independence Movement in my family, and I was brought up to honor them.

I see that you are a quite disillusioned and find that you are nearly crazy, unable to grasp anything clearly. Were you drunk while writing? It is a very abnormal and silly response to what I believe is quite a serious discussion.

Everything you say is wrong, save one thing. You use criticism to draw attention to our country’s problems and thus bring light upon our country’s greatest issues. I find that admirable.

The point of your life as a Korean is to serve, and serve again. Your country should be the highest priority of life-the sanctuary that provides you relief, and one that provides you with the arms necessary to defeat the evil that surrounds us. Of course there is a need to elevate our nation into the most superior state in all of Asia, into a nation so great its likes have never been matched save Japan’s 20 century Imperial Empire.

The greatest way to love your country is to love its people-yes, our people need some re-education, some new looks at things like education and our way of life, as you have pointed out, carry some flaws. Our country will be perfect with united thinking and active radical movement to make our country powerful.

YES. Born as a Korean, you were MEANT to cry when viewing such videos pointing out our sad history, and further, you were meant to take action because of our sad and forlorn history.

Why not take revenge? Pay-back, destruction and death to those who have wounded our country to near death in the past?

Do you remember our fervor and pride in the 2002 World Cup? Imagine that love and pride in the battlefield-our country would be undefeatable with soldiers so devoted.

When you read our history, when you see how we suffered, you will never call China or Japan “nice countries”. They are our enemies, and we face an imminent war. War? Why war? Oh yes, war will come at the critical period in our history-the time when Korea is reunified. Our nation will be greatly weakened with the burden of North Korean poverty, and most susceptible to invasion. The Chinese still want us, still hate us, still want to conquer our sacred peninsula.

I am not a racist. I do not hate Chinese people because of the color of their skin. I hate them because of what they are. Call me anything but a racist.

Yes, Japan is much nicer than China. Innovative and clean nation. They can be well exploited with the right politics, if not invaded, and Im sure you are against waging war against two countries at the same time.

The blood that runs through you should make you even more proud than me. The descendent of independence fighters would make you hardcore and determined, yet you continue to see Korea with not a speck of real pride.

There are so many things you can do, even at a young age, you can make a difference. Speak Korean. Speak it and understand it completely. There is nothing worse than a Korean who has lost his own language. Read my advice carefully and take it to heart-wherever you are, your dual languages will serve you well.

Leave Wikipedia. Nothing will be accomplished by squabbling with inferior Chinese and Japanese twats in a name war.

Love your country. When we surge through to the top in a decade, our love for Korea will give you opportunities and success in the future. There is no better feeling than knowing that there will always be a country called Korea that you can lean on and love forever.

: I hope you get to read this, and I do not to mean to be disrespectful to a sysop, but I must tell you this: Lincoln said to congress after his inauguration that " that the ballot is the rightful and peaceful successor of bullets", and that there's no appeal to it whatsoever until the next election. Now, should the ballot, or consensus in this case, be truly the "rightful" and "peaceful", and that the people are in charge, why was there almost no public outcry when eo9066 was passed, violating the rights of thousands of american citizens and denying their claims to habeas corpus? Why did Lincoln himself suspend it to silence the copperheads? Hitler was voted chancellor by consensus, and therefore he led a firestorm and a killing frenzy that still impacts us to this day, as he and what he stood for now is an icon of hatred and racism. The Germans say they were betrayed and deceived, but they are not entirely innocent, since they knew what they were doing to the Jews and they also very well knew Hitler's ideology well before his election as chancellor in 1933. And you know how the senate voted to send troops over to the middle east? that further proves that consensus can in no means remain a definite form of justice. Like how Wikimachine was blocked unfairly on consensus.

Also, the kind of collaboration that you say I do not understand is like what happened to those women picked up by the whermacht during ww2. I would collaborate, if possible, but there is no way I would sit and watch an injustice occur, to other wikipedians that offer no quarter. That's like trying to stuff flowers in the barrels of m-14s when MPs are poised to blow your head off.

And how I see it is that the edits that I have been trying to revert are a blatancy based on a chauvinistic agenda. Simply blocking with no arbcom or Rfc can be deemed somewhat rouge, but I accept full responsibility for my actions.

My initial block was based on seeing your canvassing on Good friend100's talk page but now that I have seen the 6RR report on you at AN3, your edit summaries, the blatant disregard for expected editing standards - bragging about the 3RR in your edit summary - I can see that 72 hours is not an appropriate sanction to make clear to your that your behavior and edit warring will not be accepted. Using article talk pages and dispute resolution to deal with content disagreements. If I personally see you edit warring again I will block your account indefinitely. You would do well to read the editing restrictions imposted on Good friend100's talk page and adopt the same approach to editing that he has. If you wish to appeal this block please use <nowiki>{{unblock|yourreasonhere}}</nowiki>. Please do not use any further sock/meat puppetry to leave messages on my talk page while you are blocked. ::No offense, I saw your comment on AN3... "about nazis"? you obviously did not get my point. I was talking about consensus and collaboration.

*Consensus in many debates and discussions is not based upon number of votes, but upon policy-related points made by editors. Newcomers are unlikely to understand Wikipedia policies and practices, or to introduce any evidence that other users have not already mentioned.

::Wow, how is it that conventions come before just cause? As for the edit "war" on An Jung Geun, if you ever care to take a look at the malicious intent of my "enemies" and actions caused by it, you could tell that not only was it that MY actions are unacceptable, but even they, and even more are they responsible for arbitrary edit wars. take a look at the discussion that occurred before I had entered it, and you can notice that they first went for the title "terrorist", then the term "nationalist" to an independence activist that fought for his country's freedom. It's always those sly malicious ones that never get blocked... The actions taken by namely Jusenkyoguide and pairadox is perpetual vandalism and disrespect to a martyr that died for their country. "Nationalist" and "Independence activist" has generally the same meaning, and they still want to revert it. The only reason I wanted to remove "nationalist" was because of it has two definitions.

And now I forgot what else I wanted to say.

That meat puppet thing on your talk page was done without my consent. Obviously, he wanted to help me out, but I didn't know he did that until he told me a few hours ago. [[Special:Contributions/71.134.75.249|71.134.75.249]] ([[User talk:71.134.75.249|talk]]) 03:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[[WP:ANI#Long time abusing Wikipedia by Japanese editors from 2channel meat/sock puppets]]

Hi, Odst, I just come to inform you that you have been exposed to [[2channel]], Japanese famous bulletin board. Unfortunately, many Japanese editors including him have abused Wikipedia with the threads for over 4 years. The discussion set up three days ago, but I let you know of this now. You can read Japanese per your page, so you can directly find information regarding you. I translated some, but the threads are too many, so If you have a time to look at it, visit the links listed there. I also add [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents&diff=prev&oldid=195700009 the diff] in case you come to the page much later, Thanks. --[[User:Appletrees|Appletrees]] ([[User talk:Appletrees|talk]]) 01:48, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
