Peter van Uhm (Nijmegen, 15 July 1955) is the current commander-in-chief of the military of the Netherlands. He succeeded Dick Berlijn in April 2008. Educated at the Koninklijke Militaire Academie, van Uhm is praised for his fair and effective style of management.
van Uhm's son Lieutenant Dennis van Uhm was killed in a roadside bombing in the sothern province of Afghanistan.[1]
