The Marfa Film Fesival is a Film festival held in Marfa, Texas. The festival celebrates movies filmed or associated with the area, as well as giving venues to bands, tours of the area, and various other activities. The first annual was held May 1-5.

History

Marfa has the interesting position of having both There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Men, 2007's main Oscar magnets, filmed in the area. Marfa also has a history of artists and musicians using it for asylum, notably Donald Judd. The film festival was sponsored by the Texas Association of Film Commissions.
