Osteopath slang noun
The term used to refer to Osteopathic Physicians in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Since the 1960's the preferable term referring to people who have earned the D.O. degree for doctor of Osteopathy or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is Osteopathic Physician.[1]
When the term Osteopath is used it is usually referring to"
- A physician who holds a medical degree from a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States.
