Famous 5
It's made (in part) by Disney Europe, it has writers from Lizzie McGuire and Rich Ross, the president of Disney Channel Worldwide has made statements about it here. Therefore, it is as Disney Channel series. Just because it hasn't aired on Disney Channel US yet doesn't mean it isn't a Disney Channel series. This should be a list of Disney Channel productions not just shows which have aired on Disney Channel US. --GracieLizzie (talk) 20:09, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Short Shows

OMG!!! Who keeps putting Mike's Super Short Show under 2003!?!? It started in 2002!!! When I change it Keep it! Thanks :) DLWDWFreek (talk) 02:36, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What were

What were the 3 disney channel original series produced in Canada. It says Life with derek is the 3rd what are the other 2?

Actually, Life with Derek, Naturally Sadie, and Radio Free Roscoe are not DCOS because the shows are Canadian and only aired in the United States.

Actually, they are considered DCOS because they are not only Canadian, they are co-produced by the Family Channel and Disney Channel. So they are Disney Originals.DLWDWFreek (talk) 02:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AMERICAN DRAGON

Is done this year, leave the date as 2005-2007

NOT DCOS

Life with Derek and ARE NOT DCOS!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Snoborder93 (talkcontribs) 16:59, 13 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

It's true. I'm from Canada and I watch both shows.

Okay, Popstar Magazine announced that Phineas & Ferb will be shown as a sneak-peak for Phineas & Ferb after High School Musical 2. Should we put it on there? There would be no way to show the source unless someone scanned in the article of the magazine. Snoborder93 23:49, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. It's only airing a sneak-peak. Once we get a definite series air date (not just a preview of it), then add it. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I want to put Phineas and Ferb on the List of Disney Channel Series because it has a confirmed airdate, but when I add it there, someone keeps erasing it. Yahoo has an article on the show! With a preview date, and it says Premiere January 2008! THATS CONFIRMED! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yankeesrj12 (talkcontribs)
Phineas and Ferb only has a confirmed air date for the sneak preview, not an actual episode. This confirmed air date would include a month, day, year, and time, and most likely a regular day of the week as well. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 07:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly, for all we know, the ratings for the preview could suck majorly and they could scrap the entire thing. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 14:45, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But Wizards of Waverly Place doesn't have a day confirmed but is still added!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.144.149.249 (talkcontribs)
Actually, it does: List of Wizards of Waverly Place episodes --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 19:07, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. Well don't You Think that there should be place on the article for upcoming shows without a confirmed airdate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.144.149.249 (talkcontribs)
Well actually, not really, because of WP:CRYSTAL --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 05:41, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the content from the redirected list. The links can be added behind the links to the series, or in any other way that makes sense. ~ trialsanderrors 06:07, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disney Channel Animated Series
Disney Channel Original Series

in the 2007 new disney shows there should be this Wizards of Waverly Place October 2007 ~Sirideroo

No there shouldn't. That shows changes its name more than London Tipton changes her outfits. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 18:41, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

After some discussion, it has been agreed that only shows with air dates should be added to this list. This means that shows that have mearly been stated as coming soon, even if confirmed, should not be on this list. Once a first air date is announced for a given show, it can be added to list. Please ask questions if you do not understand, before making changes relating to this area. Thank you for your help. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 04:45, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the below conversation you said the shows should be listed there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snoborder93 (talkcontribs)
Yes, if you notice, the discussion below occured AFTER the comment above. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 06:19, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes. Sorry. And sorry I didnt sign my post. I always forget and I normally go back and do it later but I totally forgot this time around. Snoborder93 06:52, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shows without an air date

There seems to be some disagreement in whether we should include shows without a confirmed air date on the list or not. I think the general agreement is that we shouldn't include it on the same list. There are some ideas of seperating future shows in a section titled 'Shows Without A Confirmed Air Date' or something to that effect. I kind of agree with that idea, because it's not like they are just rumors. Anyway, let's discuss this a little so we can get everyone's input, without making any changes yet. So if you have a view on this subject, please discuss it here, instead of having an edit war. Thanks --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 19:18, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any show that's air date hasn't been confirmed violates WP:CRYSTAL. As I said about Phineas and Ferb, Disney could get poor reviews over an upcoming show and scrap it before it ever airs. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:14, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why do we allow full articles on these shows then? --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 01:36, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dunno. Feel free to AfD them. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:57, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't really suggesting that. There are plently of WP:CRYSTAL articles that are allowed to be in Wikipedia, especially in the film and television areas. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 02:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
WP:CRAP. Enough said. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 04:49, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You know, I find it funny that WP discussions can be done by simply citing already listed arguments on wikipedia. What's even more funny is that WP:CRAP redirects to that argument. Anyways, I've had enough of this topic - have fun arguing with others, lol, cus you know it's not over. :-p --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 04:58, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that we should have unconfirmed shows in their own section. The fact that JONAS and Phineas and Ferb are under 2007 does not make sense because when has Disney premiered three shows in three months (this is including Wizards of Waverly Place). So since they probably won't premiere in 2007, then they should have there own section. I will go ahead and do this and if anyone disagrees, we can discuss it. Snoborder93 05:30, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I second that...So many people are wanting to see it - and even I think it should be on there, to let people know there are new shows coming soon. Even with out an air date, these shows are already gaining popularity. If they do end up being cancelled, then we'll just remove them from the list. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 06:37, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So who keeps deleting all the TBA's? Because there are several private messages that said "See discussion about..." and the people ignore it, delete the information, and don't bother to discuss it here.Snoborder93 07:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe Malevious is the one monitoring that. I'm tryign to stay out of it all, because honestly, I don't care that much and it works either way for me. I think we tried to do it and it got out of hand, but I can't be sure of that. So Malevious, if you wanna chime in on this discussion again, feel free. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 07:15, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wizards of Waverly Place

The page for the List of Wizards of Waverly Place Episodes says the shows airdate will be October 5, 07. Should I add this airdate to the List of DCOS? (70.57.173.21 15:39, 1 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

---no thats just a rumored date, not yet official (October is the only date given thus far)

Suite Life

Shaun the Sheep

Should this be considered a Disney Channel original short series? It was made in England, but for the british Disney Channel. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 15:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the show was commissioned by CBBC. Dalekusa 00:19, 24 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dalekusa (talkcontribs)

Its true. I live in the UK and it is on CBBC not Disney Channel. Case closed. Malpass93 (talk) 16:17, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TSR fault

Ok, to the person who put all those comments within the article, That's So Raven ended in 2007, the series finale isn't airing in Disney Channel USA due to drug reference! Because of that, I changed the air dates and your comment. Abcw12 04:23, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, they just aired the finale a couple days ago, and since it's still 2007, it is officially over.Abcw12 05:57, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

JONAS does not premiere in January

The recent edit that states the J.O.N.A.S. series will debut in January (sourced by TV.com on the JONAS article) is false! Not only is TV.com unreliable at most times, but when they say January 1, 2008, they mean sometime in 2008. It happens for a lot of shows where they put January 1 even if the show premieres in September or something. Besides, Phineas and Ferb is already premiering in January and I highly doubt Disney would debut two shows so close together. Snoborder93 01:30, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is J.O.N.A.S.? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.226.11.201 (talk) 17:35, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

J.O.N.A.S! is a rumored Disney Channel Original Series about the Jonas Brothers (with a Hannah Montana simirality, with a little bit of Kim Possible). It was "supposedly" announced, in Twist magazine, that it is coming out in June 2008. Sblngpedia11 22:54, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When was this show announced on the Happy-U-Year? I don't remember that. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:56, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dating

Since 2007-present is redundant, and its weird to only list the exact premier date for the 2007 shows (as well not all shows premier on the same day for all disney channels.) just leave the date off those all together. When 2008 comes in 2 months, then change it to 2007-present. Also, I noticed everyone complaining about 2 freaking shows only say 2007 when all the short shows and online shows and playhouse disney shows say just 2007 and no one complains. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 21:10, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Change?

After much thought and consideration I decided to redesign the page to format the certain genres of television shows on Disney Channel; however, I failed to realize what drastic change this might create. I am writing to discuss a possible change to the Disney Channel series page. It would provide relevant factual points and further detailed information about each shows air dates. The original version, shown currently, is great in providing information viewable to all audiences in a simple format, but does not provide details pertaining to specific air dates. This page does succeed in splitting up the variety of television shows into online, short, and original series; although, confusion can occur when the shows are not separated into animated and live action series. These changes do not necessarily have to involve the use of tables, but further separation of shows into categories. I have researched the proper uses of tables and in this circumstance, I feel that it is appropriate, because it makes the information easier to view and creates a well organized atmosphere. Although changes are added regularly and shows are put on the page the tables would still not make the page seem lengthy. Please let me know how you feel about this idea! Brandude (talk) 23:38, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's fine the way it is. The page is simply intended as a list. If the reader wants more information, the links to the show's articles are provided.Snoborder93 (talk) 05:00, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where would you put Fillmore in? It's not there! Help me! Malpass93 (talk) 16:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You wouldn't. It doesn't belong on this list. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:56, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why not? Enlighten me! Malpass93 (talk) 11:28, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Because Fillmore didn't originally air on Disney Channel, it aired on ABC. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 04:37, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. Thanks from "Merrie Old England" and Malpass93 (talk) 14:45, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Purpose of this list?

Is this list supposed to be discussing ONLY the modern-era (1998-present) shows or all shows throughout DC's history? WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 18:29, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awhile back, the page included some 1980s shows like Dumbo's Big Circus or something like that and the Mickey Mouse Club. I'm assuming it only includes the shows with the Disney Channel Original Series brand.Snoborder93 (talk) 05:01, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The list is for all series that originally aired on Disney Channel. It doesn't include any series that were originally on ABC or any of Disney's other channels. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 18:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
