Frances J. White
Dr. Francis J. White is a biological anthropologist at the University of Oregon. [1] She has studied the socioecology of the bonobo chimpanzee (Pan paniscus) for over 25 years at Lomako Forest in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She is the foremost American authority on this species in the wild. [2]

Threshold Theorem
In quantum computing, the Threshold Theorem (also called the Quantum Fault-Tolerance Theorem) states that a quantum computer with noise can quickly and accurately simulate an ideal quantum computer, provided the level of noise is below a certain threshold. Practically, the Threshold Theorem implies that the error in quantum computers can be controlled as the number of qbits scales up.

Hotel El Portal de 1610
Hotel El Portal de 1610 is a one star category hotel in León, Nicaragua, in Central America. It's located in the historical center of the city, in front of the house where the world-renowned poet Rubén Darío grew up, which presently is a museum in his remembrance.
History of the property
Colonial Epoch
The city of León was founded in 1610, which originally consisted of eight avenues to the north and south, west and east around the Central Park and the Cathedral of the Assumption. At the time of the city's founding, most houses were very large, taking up to a half a block in extension, and were built in a spanish colonial tradition. With the passing of time and the increase of the population, the once extensive houses were gradually divided into smaller ones to lodge new families.
The location over which the Hotel El Portal de 1610 lies, is where centuries ago, before its division, laid the house of the former Royal Treasurer of the Spanish Crown, Don Antonio de Betancourt. This fact has given motive to the popular belief, that there must have been (or must be) a hidden treasure buried in the soil.
Twentieth Century
The property in question is located on a south-west corner, exactly four blocks west from the Cathedral of the Assumption, and on the Calle Real (meaning Royal Street), which is one of the most important arteries of the city's traffic. After suffering many divisions throughout the years, the remaining corner was purchased by a young married couple in the late 1940's, until then the house still conserved its original colonial features. In 1964, the old house was demolished, new foundations were installed and the construction of a new and modern two story house began. The new house remained the home of this family for forty years until the commence of the remodeling for the future hotel half passed 2007.
The hotel as such, was inaugurated and opened on December 15, 2007.
Architecture
The small two story hotel building is identical to that of its predecesor the domestic house, except for minor changes.

The sinking of M/V Princess of the stars News
The sinking of M/V princess of the stars on June 21, 2008 was noted as one of the worst maritime disasters occurred in the seas of the Philippines. The ship carried the chemical named endosulfan, which was owned by Del Monte Phils.. The rumored chemical had been discussed by the M/V princess of the stars team on what will they do to the ship. They camed up with the idea that they will refloat the ship to get the other chemicals including the endosulfan that is inside the capsized ship. The estimated time to refloat the ship is 3 months, quoted by Ms. Maria Elena Bautista, the head of the team M/V POTS. The results will be waited until the month of October. But for now, Sulpicio lines is now giving the Compensation money for the families of the passengers of the capsized ship. And also, Sulpicio Lines is also encountering another case, involving the winning families of the sinking of the M/V Princess of the orient, in the year 1998. But now, the speculations still circulate that the Philippine government will take over the Sulpicio lines because of its records of deaths in its sank ships.
