The first disciple of [[Mou Ming]], he is the owner of the Hero Sword, and is a gentleman as well as an amazing swordsman. Mou Ming raised him from a young child to adulthood, and thus Mou Ming imparted a lot of his sword stance to him. During his childhood days, he wanted to help [[Bou Keng Wan]] learn a sword stance from Mou Ming in order to avenge his family's death. He intentionally lost to Bou Keng Wan so Mou Ming would take him as a disciple but Mou Ming didn't take him after all. Bou Keng Wan later leaves in the middle of the night. When Kim Sun was older his skills with the sword was even more than the late Sword Saint could handle.

Criticism

Many fans have criticized and question the writing as to why Jien Chien became a traitor and an evil character so quickly and easily over reasons that were very small.
