As to the note about moderators - there are no designated moderators of Wikipedia. There are though many editors who would flag the article the same way I did. You are most welcome to put your point on view on the [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grand Strategy Dynamics]] discussion page - which will remain for five days. I'm sorry to hear you've had poor experiences here in the past and hope that this does not sour you to the site. I do recommend however that you have a read through a page here on avoiding editing articles that you have a real world stake in [[Wikipedia:Conflict of interest]]. When a company becomes noted in the press, eventually someone who is not involved will write an article. - [[User:Peripitus |Peripitus]] [[User talk:Peripitus|(Talk)]] 11:19, 31 July 2008 (UTC) |

I'm aware there are no designated or official moderators, as I've engaged in hundreds of battles on Wikipedia with zealots who believe they are; I apologize for the sarcasm. |

AfD nomination of Grand Strategy Dynamics
[edit]I have nominated Grand Strategy Dynamics, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grand Strategy Dynamics. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Peripitus (Talk) 04:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Notability standards
[edit]Hi Commissar Mo, as to your note about why GSD should have a page, where you couldn't see why they shouldn't: Wikipedia, for corporations, has notability standards to help ensure that everything here is verifiable based on reliable sources. Where a company has just started, and hence has attracted little press information, an article on them is not verifiable and falls into the Wikipedia definition of original research as all of the article is sourced from within the company. What we seek here is balanced articles based on secondary sources - that is independent people writing primarily about the company - not sources from the company itself. I welcome you to look through the links I've posted at the top of this page, and in this paragraph, where I think you will get a better idea of what Wikipedia is all about. - Peripitus (Talk) 04:14, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- How could anything be more formalized than the Department of State publishing infomation declaring and recognization the incorporation of a new C-Corporation? As I understand Wikipedia's guidelines there exists no bias towards larger companies, or necessarily those with more press attention. Perhaps I'm mistaken about this? As soon as the State of Delaware files the paperwork, the corporation will exist as a legal entity... is it then that legal corporate entities do not qualify as being notable for an encyclopedia entry, but any number of other entities of lesser standing might?
- Sorry, I've had many poor experiences with Wikipedia authorities in the past, who have often abused their authority as moderators and in flagging articles for deletion, etc. So I must ask, are there other moderators besides you who feel this way?
- Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Commissar Mo (talk • contribs) 05:09, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
That the company exists is not in dispute. The issue is that possibly millions of companies this size exist, and that is all that can be said about them. The bias is not towards larger companies, but to those that are written about. All that is required is that independant parties have written significantly about the corporation. I've worked for companies with twenty times the number of employees that GSD has, none of which have articles here nor could they ever meet the notability standards.
