Diamond Way Buddhism is an organisation which claims to follow Buddhist teachings but has attracted criticism and accusations that it is a cult[1][2]. It was founded by, and is run by Ole Nydahl, a Danish Lama, who was the student of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa.
Lineage
Diamond Way Buddhism claims to follow Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism under the direction of Trinley Thaye Dorje, one of two claimants to the title of Karmapa (See Karmapa controversy), but is in fact largely a separate organisation.
