Butler's Wharf is now the name of the largest development of flats on Shad Thames, on the south bank of the river Thames just east of London's Tower Bridge and overlooking both the bridge and St Katherine's Dock on the other side of the river. It is also used as an alternative name for the Shad Thames area.

It was built in the 19th century as a shipping wharf and warehouse complex, accommodating the goods being discharged from ships using the port of London. Since the 1980's it has been transformed from a run-down derelict site into luxury flats with restaurants and shops on the ground floor. Terence Conran owns most of the restaurants, which include Butler's Wharf Chop House, Pont de la Tour and the Cantina del Ponte. Ask and a bar from the All Bar One brand complete the restaurants in Butlers Wharf itself, with the Blue Print Café on the first floor of the nearby Design Museum.

In front of Butler's Wharf is a riverside walkway open to the public and a jetty, although regular services are not run from the jetty.
