Gay Army is a comedy reality television show first broadcast in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The show has also been sold to Italy and Poland. Recently Poland banned the sending of the show to much protest.

Gay Army has been nominated for the international TV awards Rose D´or and the Danish TV awards 2006.

Synopsis

Feminine men in a masculine world - the most unlikely recruits in the world! Blatantly gay men are removed from their cosy gay life, and into the hands of a U.S drill sergeant! Each episode the gay “recruits” face new training missions designed to bring out the man and prepare them for battle! In the final episode they face the "real" army in war! Gay “recruits” will be treated to party nights and gay rewards as missions are accomplished. See our gay hero’s progress through the ups and downs that is military basic training, a scary prospect for any man, let alone a bunch of queers who spend most of their time partying and worrying about what to wear! Packed with tears and laughter as two worlds collide and heroes are born!
